This summer, Cadence is partnering with Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC), located in Weyers Cave, Virginia, to help students who are interested in pursuing a career in machining. BRCC is hosting a free Intro to Machining camp for students wanting to learn more about what it takes to be a machinist. The camp consists of hands-on training and field trips to various manufacturing facilities within the Shenandoah Valley over a two week period.

Cadence, along with several other local manufacturers, will be conducting in-depth tours for all students enrolled in the machining camp. Students will also receive first-hand experience as to what it takes to make precision parts.

Upon completion, Cadence is looking forward to offering guaranteed interviews to anyone who attends the camp. “We are very excited about the opportunity to offer employment to motivated recent graduates that want to go into technical careers,” stated Rachel Brown, Cadence’s Corporate Human Resources Business Partner.
