Cranston Mayor Fung recognizes Cadence

Cranston, RI - February 15, 2011

Mayor Fung joined representatives from Cadence at our Cranston, RI facility to officially introduce a new program to help small and medium sized businesses deal with energy costs.  Cadence is one of the first companies in Cranston to take part in this new initiative dubbed “Cranston Buying Power.”

Cranston Buying Power will afford local businesses the opportunity to build and join electricity and natural gas purchasing pools with some of the area's largest energy buyers. This means expert procurement advice and bulk purchasing rates for small and medium sized businesses – something that has previously only been available to Rhode Island's largest energy buyers.

Mayor Fung is very excited about this new opportunity.  He commented, "The city has closely monitored the success of a buying program in Boston and knew the time was right for Cranston to initiate a similar program."   For more information on this program see - City Launches Energy-saving Program
